Barasat, North 24-Parganas: The decomposed body of a 26-year-old junior doctor, identified as Debjit Ghosh, was discovered on Saturday inside a flat at the Barasat Police Housing Complex. Ghosh, the son of a driver attached to the Barasat District Police, had reportedly been under severe mental stress due to not receiving a hospital posting of his choice, according to family members.
His parents made the tragic discovery after becoming concerned over his prolonged absence. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, and further details are awaited pending the postmortem report.
