Rajkummar Rao, who recently impressed fans with his energetic dance moves in the newly released track from Bhool Chuk Maaf, has now responded to a heartfelt compliment from his wife, Patralekhaa. The actor, known for his versatile performances, seems to have won over not just the audience—but also his biggest supporter, his wife.
Patralekhaa took to her Instagram Stories to share a clip of the song and praised her husband’s performance, writing, “Those moves @rajkummar_rao.” Rajkummar responded simply but lovingly with, “Love.”
The feel-good romantic comedy, directed by debutant Karan Sharma, stars Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in lead roles, alongside an impressive ensemble cast including Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Raghubir Yadav, and Jay Thakkar. The film blends humor, romance, and an intriguing time-loop element that sets it apart.
Speaking to News18 in a recent interview, Rajkummar described what drew him to the film:
“The way Karan has written the whole story, keeping this time loop in it, the comedy in it, the characters’ arcs, and in the end, there’s a very beautiful social commentary also that we are making. So, it just came together very nicely for me.”
After making its mark in theaters, Bhool Chuk Maaf is expected to stream on Amazon Prime Video two weeks after its theatrical debut.
A review by News18 praised the film’s performances and screenplay, stating:
“The initial build-up features well-crafted dialogues, humor, and convincing performances by Rao and Gabbi (who plays Titli). Rao’s impeccable delivery of one-liners, with the perfect accent and timing, is particularly entertaining. Debutant director Karan Sharma dedicates most of the first half to establishing the loop, though the script could have benefited from more depth there. That said, the songs enhance the beauty of the film’s setting, and the picturisation of Banaras breaks the typical stereotypes.”
